In late spring, the squid move into the Rhode Island coast where fishermen flock to lighted docks and bridges hoping to fill a bucket with fresh calamari.
Greg Vespe invited OTW’s Eddy Stahowiak and Adam Eldridge for a night of squid jigging around Newport. Vespe uses his electronics to find and stay with the squid as they move into Narragansett Bay to spawn.
