My buddy Joe Cermele at Field and Stream sent over a video of a catch I had to see to believe. He was working the South Jersey backwaters with the fly rod when he found some aggressively feeding tog working around a bridge abutment. With a crab fly tied on and a cast tight to the bridge, Joe did what few have done before, and stuck a blackfish on the fly.
It’s the first I’ve ever heard of a tog taken while fly-fishing, accidental or otherwise. You can get the full story behind the catches at Field and Stream.

That’s Great, We are evolving in the Tog Chase, I’m just getting used to tog jigs, now crab flies. How great is that !!
